In the three years that I lived here, my car was broken into twice and the management did not seem to care. Yes, it is a gated area, but only if the gates are actually kept closed.

The facility is in such poor repair that most of the sprinklers do not work and waste a huge amount of water. I am on the first floor and have been the victim of three water leaks from the apartments above me.

The other residents are not those that I enjoy living around. I came home from a business trip and found several broken drinking glasses on my porch that had been dropped from the deck above and the resident did not even care enough to clean that up. I am also always finding cigarette butts dropped on my patio.

If you like living in an area of higher than expected crime and those who do not care for personal responsibility, this is the place for you.

I'm confused about one thing; you say you were on the 3rd floor, yet water leaks and dropped cigarette butts dropped on your patio? It's a 3-story complex, no? Confused.

I lived in Skyline Gateway apartments in the late 80's and loved it. Not a lot of crime to worry about back then. My rent was a steep $390.00 per month. The property was several years old back then. Its true that the desert extends its great preservation powers to construction and housing, but everything has its heyday. Bottomline is they are old. The property no longer meets the codes for rental property. Its cheaper for the property owners to pay the fines and stay open rather than address the enormous expense of updating everything. They will quite likely be demolished and replaced in the next few years.
