UNSAFE APARTMENT PROPERTY!!!!!!!!!!

Living here for 12 months and I learned the SMOKE ALARM in my UNIT does NOT have a back-up battery in it. Last Summer, we had a terrilbe storm that knocked the power out for a 5 sq. mile area (including this entire complex) for 6 full hours. Had my
building caught fire during this 6 hours (while there was no power), my SMOKE ALARM would NOT have woken me up...I would have DIED of SMOKE INHALATION!!! The State of Arizona's Landlord - Tenant Act (look it up), clearly states that the Property Owner
MUST maintain every UNIT as a SAFE unit for every tenant...NOT having a BACK-UP BATTERY in the SMOKE ALARM is NOT KEEPING ME SAFE. So, I feel that the Owners were inviolation of (BREACH OF CONTRACT) of my Lease Agreement for all 12 months of my
Lease!!! This property is owned by HSL PROPERTIES...they own 27 Apartment Properties
in Tucson...and I really wonder if they have BACK-UP BATTERIES in those apartrment units...it is a CITY OF TUCSON FIRE CODE to have a back-up battery type SMOKE ALARM in every UNIT...and most of this Property Owner's properties are within the City Limits...if you decide to RENT here, make sure you have the PROPER SMOKE ALARM.
I have also found the light inside the Heated Jacuzzi OUT a couple of nights...which is a violation of the State of Arizona's Swimming Pool Codes...if that light is not operational, the ENTIRE POOL MUST BE CLOSED until the problem is resolved!!! I have
seen some lights on the property bruned out at night too...Management seems to think
they don't need to walk the site at night...they are responsible for keeping the
tenants SAFE 24 hours a day....not 9 am to 5 pm.
