I did everything to get into this apartment online and over the phone because I was moving to the area from MI and was unable to come hunting beforehand. I had no idea what I was getting into except for a few pictures, reviews, and a floor plan. Everything was pretty much as expected. The apartments are nice and large for a good price; the amenities (pool, tennis court, fitness center) are really great, too (except for the advertised racquetball court, which they stopped caring for a long time ago and has weeds growing in it now). The management is really great and very nice; maintainance is amazingly quick to respond to even minor complaints. I also really appreciate the nice green grass and lots of foliage to help ween me into desert life. It is also conveniently located next to the Foothills Mall, Walmart, LA Fitness, and many, many other stores and things (all within a 5 minute drive); I highly recommend Sprouts for fresh food shopping.

I caution future renters to not get a basement apartment and to find an available one as far away from La Cholla as possible. I was not warned that I would have neighbors that liked to stay up until 3am on weekends and get up at 5:30am every weekday or neighbors that felt the need to nearly sprint from one end of the apartment and back all the time--they are not that big. You can't hear things like TVs or talking much between apartments, but it sounds like a herd of elephants every time someone walks around upstairs. I was also not told how busy La Cholla is. My apartment is in the building closest to the road (about 20 feet away), and it is really frustrating sometimes. A fan drowns out the noise from the road for the most part though.
