Don't listen to the negative naysayers

I lived at Sonterra for nearly 3 years. This place is a wonderful place to live as far as apartments go. The grounds are always well maintened and beautiful. They have some of the best floor plans compared to any apt complex in town. The staff (with the exception of one person) has always been wonderful. The apt manager Pam is awesome. If you have problems go see her, she will take of you. In the three years I lived here I had one problem with the apartment and it was fixed the following day. As far as people saying the walls are thin, what apartment isn't. Remember, you are still living in an apartment that is adjoined not a free standing home. We lived on the first floor and had minimal problems with the noise from above. Parking can be difficult, but I bet if you negotiate a covered parking place at the time of your lease, chances are pretty good they will give you at least one. The have plenty of grass courtyards if you have pets. I the grass is actually green and maintened weekly, unlike some other brown patched ghetto apt complexes around town. You will pay a little more here, but it's worth it. I haven't even mentioned the location and wonderful it is. There are 5 restaurants within walking distance, Target, and Park Place is only down the street. If you are stationed at DM, this place is perfect. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed, and remember it's still an apartment complex, which means apartment living.
