I've been at Springhill for about 8 months now, have yet to relate to any of the other complaints. Our neighbors beside and below us are quiet military guys and have never been an issue. As for the general noise level, its fairly quite most of the time (my side of the building I guess). I think most of the complaints are a matter of prospective and the mis-fortune of being near awful neighbors (there were some young white "thugs" fighting down the sidewalk from us a month back though). Most of the complaints seem to have a running theme regarding the front wall being a large window also. Unlike most of the other tenants who complain here...we were aware of its presence prior to moving in. I'm just saying they didn't sneak a glass wall onto our living room while we were out one day, we knew what we were getting into when we took a tour. Overall, if your moving in aim for an apartment facing the park, (if you don't mind the occasional late night soccer games) There are 1-2 unarmed, nighttime security guards but like any other apartment complex be aware of your property and park in a responsibly well lit parking area. Common sense would go a long way here.

Well I am sure everyone is aware of the glass wall, but I doubt everyone is/was aware of the 200 dollar a month electric bills. What building do you live in? Because unless you live next to the office you are going to have to worry about your car getting stolen and thugs. You are lucky you live next to military, obviously if or when they move you may get lucky with a mexican family with 40 kids inside a 2 bedroom apartment. Those guards you speak of are 18 year old high school kids who just ride there bike around the front of the building. I feel real protected.

You weren't aware that glass wasn't invented to insulate heat or cold air but rather to see through? In a desert, its common sense to assume your electric bill might be a bit higher when you choose to have a 3rd (or half depending on your place) of your exposed/front walls made of glass. Needless to say, I'm pretty much in the corner of the complex (i.e. not near the office) and keeping at a consistently cool 77 degrees w/ a few high end electronics, I've never paid over $180 at the highest bill. The guards by the way are locally contracted (adults) through a company that contracts w/ Most HSL properties and majority of other tucson apartments. (the one I spoke to was a young --------american man who was 24) And I've seen them ride their bikes everywhere at night, I in fact spoke to the guy when he was in front of my place on the back sidewalk adjacent to the park. It sucks that you lucked out w/ awful neighbors but you obviously have a motive to degrade this complex. Do the right thing, make a formal complaint and take legal action against your alleged "illegal" neighbors and and move on.
