I've been living at Springhill for about 4 months now.

I've never been late on a rent payment always given on the 1st of each month EXCEPT for the 1 time I used the after hours night box.

The management came to my doorstep looking for the rent check, and because I don't have carbon copy on my checkbook they say I can't prove that I did pay it and now are making me pay an extra $75 for THEIR mistake and will not even admit that it's a possibility that they could have lost it.

The Debra manager's attitude makes suicide sound like a good idea just to get away from her attitude, after talking to her for 1 minute you can see why there's no ring on her finger.

She's such a mean person I actually feel sorry for her.

My car has been broken into and they didn't care they just said "it's been noted in your file".

The appliances in the apartments are old and are SO energy inefficient it'll jack your electric bill up to unneeded numbers and they don't even work properly.

It takes 2 cycles in the dishwasher just to properly clean your dishes and that's even if you rinse the plates first.

The refrigerator is at the highest settings and still doesn't keep ice frozen or milk cold and if you try to complain they come out and say it's working to their standards.

The management has been promising an after hours fitness center since before I even moved in and whenever we ask about it the answer is always "we're working on it".

The pool is nice though...

if it's ever clean, I've actually had to clean the pool myself because there's been so much debris and dead bugs floating in the pool, and the bottom of the pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a month or two.

Overall though, if it wasn't for the management (Debra) being jerks and poor appliances it wouldn't be that bad of a place to live.

The neighbors are pretty nice and we rarely have problems from the trash that lives down the street.

That "after hours fitness center" you mentioned, management was promising that when I lived there and I moved out Oct 2007. Also, good luck with maintenace, Springhill only has one guy for that. The front wall of the apartment is what is hiking your electric amounts throught the roof. A glass wall for an apartment is unwise and unsafe. My motorcycle was vandalized when I lived there, someone unsucessfully tried to break into my ignition casing. Management didn't give a hoot, said they are not responsible for renters property. Be sure to get Renters Insurance, it sounds like a waste of money but a thrid floor apt flooded, the water flooded the second floor apt and started to leak through the cieling into my floor lvl apt. Management said "Hope you have renters insurance", which I did. GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE WHO LIVES THERE.
