My experience: Noise, Litter, and Marijuana.

Glenda here at Stargate West is (by far) the most helpful manager I've ever ever dealt with. When she found out that noise problems were bothering me, she had double-paned windows put into my unit. This seems to have made a significant difference, and it's something I would *never* have expected.
I'd also compliment Stargate West on their night-time "security patrol" person. He always shows up quickly no matter what the hour, and he has never failed to solve whatever noise problems I call about.
But the following points still bother me a lot about Stargate West:
1) Put your hands on the walls here... I don't know what this place is built of, but you can feel your a/c and all your neighbors' a/cs shaking the walls.
2) This really surprised me, but when the neighbors UNDERNEATH my unit walk around THEIR apt, it shakes MY apt. Again, it makes one wonder what these apartments are built of.
3) I'm disgusted by the piles of cigarette butts on the ground outside some balconies. I don't know if they ever try to clean this up.
4) The neighbors in the unit beneath mine smoke marijuana every night, and the stench of it fills up my apartment. For some reason, one of my two bathrooms now reeks of marijuana around the clock. Luckily, the rest of the apartment only stinks while the neighbors are lit up.
5) I don't know which of my neighbors contribute to the mess, but I'm constantly cleaning their beer bottles and cans off the stairwells, and cleaning chunks of broken bottles off the parking lot.
Bottom line: (1) Great office staff, (2) obnoxious neighbors, (3) questionable construction. Others might be getting better results in other apartments or buildings, but that's how it looks from my unit.
