Stargate West Apartments

I miss the beautiful nights on the balcony... From: Colehourwr Date posted: 8/14/2005 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003   Great location if you have a car. Although if you have two cars good luck parking both in any area around your apt. I loved how quiet it was around the apt. The townhomes had some good parties but not as good as the one my roomate and I had. I only lived there for four months do to problems with my roomate. The management wasn't understanding nor did they care at all. I was signed off of the lease and I moved out. Six months later I get a letter saying that I owed them almost 3 grand. At this time I lived back in Illinois. I called and spoke with the both female managers. I got nothing but attitude from them and I was called a liar. I called my lawyer in Tucson and he gave Star Gate West a call. I had to take an emergency trip back to Tucson to get that mess cleaned up. That cost me 600 dollars and when I walked in the office the manager was shocked to see me so quickly (seeing as I talked to her the afternoon before from Illinois) but still gave me attitude. She finally admitted that she found the new lease my roomate signed when I moved out (it was in achieve already) proving that I did get signed off of the lease and my trip was for nothing. But didn't apologize for the attitude or calling me a liar. That bill is still on my credit report as an outstanding bill even though I wasn't responsible for it. My roomate moved out of the apartment two months after I did do to the management. Also the management was trying to say we damaged the stove/oven and a dented the top of the washer also. These where things that I pointed out to the management during the premove-in inspection (the only time the management was nice). They dropped that but it was clear they didn't believe us. The apartment isn't cheap but it is worth the money. It's also nice quiet place for people that like to keep to themselves. The hot tub is great and the pool is nice. The work out room is small but you can get in there most of the time and have it all to yourself. I still miss that apartment even though I live in awesome Washington DC and I highly recommend it to most people just don't ever have contact with the management.
