When I moved in I guess I wasn't the only one residing in the apartment! About a week after I moved in, out of no where, came a bunch of roaches popping up in my kitchen, hallway and bathroom. I notified the office and corporate and had to stay at other people's houses because the office/corporate is not properly taking care of this situation and I still had to pay rent. They swear they seen nothing when they looked at my home which is ---- because I have pictures and video for everyday for the last month. I even had to get rid of my dog because the roaches were living in her food. This wasn't the only problem either. mY BATHROOM WAS DIRTY AND MY PLUMBING DIDN'T WORK and they refused to clean/fix it for me. I tried making an agreement with the manager to move me to another building or let me out of my lease and she refuses to help me in any way. Also, THE PARKING SUCKS. There are times you have to walk from the other end of the apartments to yours becasue there are no spaces available that are close to your apartment due to lazy people who have to drive to the laundry room. DO NOT MOVE HERE AND PLEASE MARK ADVERTISEMENTS ON ---------- AS SPAM!!!!!!!

Maybe it's just me... but this all sounds a bit strange. You got rid of your dog because there were roaches in its food? Also, I'm pretty sure Stonybrook contracts out pest control. This is important because it probably means that a professional went into your apartment and didn't find any roaches. That probably means that they just crawled up through the sink in your kitchen and bathroom. They do that for two basic reasons. First, this is tucson - there are roaches in the sewers. Almost every complex in town has problems with them. Second, the best advice that everyone will give you is just to keep your place clean. Beyond that, you'll probably get a bug or two just about anywhere. I had them every now and then at my old place - and actually, I don't think I've ever had one at Stonybrook. Still, I do live on the second floor - that helps since, as mentioned, they come up through the sewers. Finally, the parking really isn't that bad. It sounds like you're annoyed because you can't park right next to your unit. I've never in 3 years had to walk across the entire complex - that's just dumb. If you're walking across the entire complex then you took a wrong turn and for some strange reason parked as far away from your place as possible.

They do contract out pest control and the pest people just spray and do nothing more which seems to not be helping. Corporate doesn't even give a bull about this problem. Thier solution was for me to find another one of thier communities to move to but I have to pay a transfer fee. I would be a little bit nicer about this situation if corporate would just relocate me to a different building but they won't. How does it sound strange that I got rid of my dog because there were roches in her food? Do you want a bowl of food layed down for you and then bugs are crawling in it so you can't eat? I even have video and pictures of how bad this situation is, and an inspector came out and said since there are not 100 or more crawling around then there is nothing they can do. Seeing 3-10 a day was not a bad enough problem in thier eyes. The office swears they never see anything alive or dead when they enter but that is BS and I have proof. I called the office into my apartment to show them the bugs were crawling around and they caught one in a jar to "show the pest guy what kind of bug it is". There also has been a dead bug I killed in my bathtub since March so I know they either are not entering my apartment and looking or just open the door and peep in. Also, I know the bugs are not coming from my drains, my sinks are plugged up. I wouldn't have a problem if I could take a shower and have my pet there, but it's disgusting when you are in the middle of washing your hair, open your eyes, and BAM! there's 6 roaches crawling on the wall and shower curtain around you. If you don;t have any at stonybrook, then you are lucky and probably reside in a different apartment building then me. The parking is bad and I don't care about having to walk I am an athletic person but I am also a female and don't get home until around 9pm and should not be walking around that late through an apartment complex that is located in a not so good area of Tucson. If you have never had to walk through the complex in 3 years of being there, You either 1 you must not go out much and come home late or 2 have no sociallife what so ever. I think the office staff should have to come live in my apartment for at least 1 week and see what it's like to live with bugs.

I've lived here for over 5 years. Only seen a few roaches in my place, but I know other people that live there and the whole building is infested! They spray one apartment and they just move next door, it dosent matter what floor you live on. Yes parking does suck, I live by the front gate and it fills up fast. Nothing like having to park in the back and tote a child and groceries across the complex!
