Bad Management ruins a nice complex.

We lived in these apartments for just over a year and for the most part had a pleasant stay. I'll echo another poster's comment that the carpets are very thin, but other than that the unit itself was nice.
Management is an entirely different story. They are slow to act, and generally not very helpful when they do. I called numerous times with complaints about our neighbors making a LOT of noise, and they acted like they couldn't understand why I was telling them about all this. We had to call the cops to have anything done.
Also if you have a pet, beware. No matter how well behaved your pet is, or how well you clean up after them be prepared to get charged an extra cleaning fee. They hire a company to go over the carpet with a black light, and if they find anything, you fork over $200 bucks.
When we left, our apartment was at least as clean as we found it, but the guy who did the walk through marked down that a shelf in the closet was "dusty", along with a few other nit picks.
The area is nice, the units are nice, just be prepared to deal with these people.

It's an apt home and not a hotel. When people disturb your peace, you call a peace officer, just like if you owned your own home. When your animal destroys the carpet, you pay for it's replacement. Carpet people don't work for free. When you leave your apt home dirty, you have to pay for cleaning. The cleaning people don't work for free either. If your apt was dirty when you moved in, you should have said something about it to management as your lease papers instructed you to do, so you'd get credit at move out. The "guy" noting the dirty shelf is just doing his job as instructed by the people who feed him. How can you complain about that?

At previous apartments I've lived in management was more than willing to handle minor disturbances (neighbors playing music too loud, etc), I was simply comparing Sundown to my previous experiences. Also no carpet was "destroyed" by our cat. Using a black light isn't a standard most people would use to judge how clean a carpet is in their own house, and not one I've seen used in other apartments I've lived in. As for the dusty shelf, I was just stating my OPINION that they were overly critical in their review.
