Comments made previously about the clientele that live and frequent here are dead on. I have twice seen suspicious "transactions" take place between residents and someone in a vehicle, at night. I watched a car radio get yanked and stolen out of a car in the middle of the afternoon. I have repeatedly seen people in the dumpster taking garbage for their homes. You will always be able to hear the traffic on Tanque Verde. Always. The boiler/cooler units for the buildings are incredibly noisy (with a slipping belt, etc.) There is never a moment of silence at night. Never. Summertime indoor temperatures range from 80-85 degrees with the "AC" on full blast (it's a swamp cooler).

Typically people say that walls are paper thin in places where you can hear noises from neighbors, such a cliche is true here as well, however I think that the cliche is actually more fact than fiction. Bathroom walls are only painted drywall. Yes. Painted drywall. If you are a non-smoker, you should learn to like the smell of smoke. It is everywhere (including your own home!). And if your neighbor is cooking Italian Sausage at seven in the morning, you will know that too. Oh, and the water really is turned off at least once a month to fix broken pipes; windows fall out of their tracks (or don't close at all); maintenance is inept and sloppy; and all but one member of the office staff (including Paul Ash management) has poor customer service skills and an adept ability to be confused by the simplest things.

A bit more about Paul Ash Management: Do not attempt to communicate with them using spoken language or rational thought processes. If you do, you will scare them into a tantrum and they will retaliate against you. It is best to deal with such unintelligent life forms with a simple series of honks and chirps and/or waving arms. Seriously though, the person in question (whose name rhymes with larry or mary or scary) is really an unfortunate example of customer service representation. If he is the face of Paul Ash Management, then Paul Ash Management needs a facelift, because that man is truly incapable of communicating like a grown adult...and he is probably in his fifties or sixties. To rehash: Please don't rent from here. Unless you are desperate and stupid and don't mind seeing trash or meth-heads everywhere. Also, you must be willing to teach the rampant children right from wrong because there are no responsible parents in this community, and your vehicles will definitely be damaged one way or another by them.
