I would encourage anyone who is thinking of renting at Tanque Verde Apartments to take this warning very seriously. My husband and I have never experienced such poor customer service. Sherry, the office manager, is rude and highly excitable. There have been countless occasions that she's become so emotional and angry at one or both of us for bringing problems to her attention. Leaking ceiling, overcharged on rent, notices stuck to our door ment for someone else - all these things send her into a fit of rage. When I politely asked if there was anyway that maintenance could help me move some heavy things off the balcony (they are in the process of painting all the buildings/balconies - during the holiday season and it may not even be finished until February... so we're living with all of our patio furniture and large grill in our living room... but that a different story...), instead of her professionally letting me know that they were booked and unable to help, I had to listen to her fly off the handle about how much she's got on her plate and how irritating I am for bothering her. ...Not to mention she has informed us that since we "can't get it through our heads" that these things are not her problems, maintanence will "never come to our apartment again." We pay our rent on time every month and have NEVER recieved any complaints from anyone. There are many many other things about this complex that are beyond undesireable (constant water shut off, parking nightmares, drug dealers on the premisis, we had a HOLE in our master bedroom ceiling for about 1 1/2 months during monsoon season, mold where the hole was as well as in the bathrooms), but Sherry's unprofessional behavior is absolutely unbelievable. I am in shock that she has kept her job as long as she has (if you look at other entries here you'll see she's mentioned often for her rudeness). Be warned - Sherry does not care about you, or apparently, her job.

SHERRY NEEDS ANOTHER JOB! WE HAVE ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT NUMEROUS REPAIRS NEEDED IN OUR UNIT AND WE HAVE ALSO HAD EVICTION NOTICES POSTED ON OUR DOOR EVEN THOUGH RENT IS PAID...I THINK WE ALL SHOULD CONTACT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL ABOUT THE NEGLIGENCE AND THE HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS OF THESE APARTMENTS..SURE MAKE IT LOOK PRETTY ON THE OUTSIDE BUT WHAT ABOUT THE INSIDE WHERE PEOPLE CAN BE HARMED IF REPAIRS ARE NOT DONE.

Shelli, the Property Manager at Tanque Verde Apartments, who is an employee of MEB (Morrison, Ekre & Bart Management Services, Inc.), along with Michelle, an employee, are corrupt and have made numerous false statements to me, and are also practicing false advertising, deception, and fraud. They openly delete maintenance requests. The hole in the ceiling of my porch became infested with rodents, and the management said maintenance fixed it, but they did not. I became extremely sick with flu symptoms after exposure to the rodent feces. My neighbor below, where the rodent feces fell through the open planks of the porch, also became sick with the flu after exposure to the rodent feces, and upon hospitalization, was diagnosed with ??Swine Flu.?? After signing you lease, you are advised that the large copier in the Business Center is in there ??just for storage.?? The old computer has a hole in where the CD drive fell out. The printer/fax machine has been out of ink for a long time, and, for several weeks the management told one lie after another about ordering, and are hoping that I will give up and stop asking. Therefore, the Business Center has no copier, no fax, no printer, and the computer only reads A drive floppy disks which are no longer sold at any store. They advertise ??Movie Theater?? but they lied, and stated that the man who operates it is ??on vacation,?? but months later, they state they do not know when he will return. They sprayed my apartment with ??pesticide bombs?? and afterwards warn that it is extremely ??hazardous to your health.?? My family and I were very sick for several months with breathing difficulty, rashes, nausea, etc. Two weeks later, my family and I were home one morning, and the pesticide company opened the door without any notice, and were planning on spraying again everywhere, even though we had not emptied the cabinets since we did not know. They claimed that the management sent us a notice, but they did not.
