Tanque Verde

 

I have lived her several years and was happy until the new owners took possession, then everything went downhill.

I'm not blaming Shelly the Manager, she is great and I have the feeling that her hands are tied behind her back, the rest of the office staff seem fine, never had any problems with any of them.

Maintenance is a nightmare, nothing ever gets done, is half a**ed, and it takes several complaints before they even show up at your door.

One guy, Greg, is a know it all and always tries to convince you that its somehow your fault.

Regardless of who's fault it is, just fix the damn thing.

Unfortunately, I usually end up doing a lot of little repairs myself.

I understand that they are trying to fix up the place and so the grounds are pretty tore up, the contractors leave trash and crap everywhere and no one ever seems to want clean it up.

They are doing a lot of necessary repairs inside the apts, going into the walls changing the plumbing etc.

but again, are leaving walls half a**ed with drywall unpainted and no one seems to know who's gunna paint it.

I'm beginning to feel like I live in the ghetto in Section 8.

The main pool turns disgusting green about every 4 days.

One day my husband and I wanted to go swimming so we went to the other pool, which was cloudy too, just not as bad, so we went swimming anyways.

BIG mistake, there was so much hair and little fun things floating around in the pool that we had to leave.

The positives: Never had any problems with tenants and most everyone seems friendly.

I have always felt safe and I haven't heard of anything bad, like theft.

A/C is included in rent and is reasonably affordable.

They are pet friendly even though some people need to learn to control or pick after their pets.

Parking is not idea but that is just the down side of apartment living.

They are putting in all new appliances, fixtures, flooring, cabinets and railing in all the apartments, so eventually this pace will be really nice, the question is WHEN'
