Note: now called Gateway at Tucson
This would be easier if I just pasted in my letter to them when I left:
When I had moved into Gateway at Tucson, I was looking forward to a beautiful complex, compatible & enjoyable roommates and a quiet atmosphere. However, the latter two have yet to surface. Since I have been here, I have been failed by Gateway s staff a running total of five times. Four of which have been admitted by your staff (the last one is still being realized by Fernando). Also, I have forgiven and trusted that your staff could provide me with a better experience, for four rearrangements. With each successive fault I was wrong and have finally lost all trust in the staff. These incidences have forced me to move out as the administration cannot keep up their end of the relationship:
Roommate matching form was obviously not even peaked at:
Every apartment which I had chosen to move out of have smoked illegally (marijuana) and/or cigarettes.
Roommates have stolen a number of times from me. Then they will accuse me instead of lying and threaten me so that I back off .
Roommates have kept the only space which we share disgusting and were rude when instructed to change their habits .
The printer which was supposedly ordered two months has yet to arrive for the business center (which is not open 24 hours as stated).
The computers in the business center are non-operational.
The gate has been non-operational a number of times without notice or an alternative exit/entrance.
I was required to move into a different place apartment four times. Each time, a staff member recognized after that the apartment should not have been recommended in the first place. However, I was told by the staff that I should adhere to the roommate s desires, regardless of their severity.
The ISP will vary from operational to non-operational .
I witnessed another roommate [who did not care for his roommates (black)] called a racist instead of recognizing the differences between a people s needs.
An apartment above me has: had the stereo going until 4am on a weekday, kept a litter ranging from cigarette butts to beer cans in front of my patio and been witnessed urinating off their balcony.
Messages were never forwarded and small, appropriate requests could not be followed even after multiple reminders and countless days. With each reminder, they were merely too indolent to act (and of no other reason).
However, the grounds have been kept relatively clean and in good order. The office staff is in need of replacement, as they are unable to function; as a unit or individually. I am terminating my residency at Gateway as I cannot afford to be disappointed again.

in addition, the office hours are not what they are stated on the sign outside the door or on the internet, the shuttle frequently breaks down with no notice for the residents that need to get to class and the gates are ALWAYS broken. I live by the exit gate (which is open 24/7) and 4 days after getting my new car a rock was thrown at my windshield, shattering it. The office claims to have a security guard, but I personally have never seen one. There is not enough parking near the buildings and frequently end up walking a distance from my apartment. The mailboxes also break frequently, making the residents have to walk to the office in order to get the mail. Its understandable that this is a college apartment complex, but my complaints have nothing to do with the other residents (occasionally there is loud music, but what complex isn't going to have that) but with the management, maintenance and security of the complex. Overall was a very dissatisfying apartment.
