Well I first moved into these apartments, now called Gateway at Tucson, in August of 2007. When I finally got the keys to get into my apartment and room, I was disappointed to find that the carpet in my room was not cleaned, there was water with bugs in my tub, no shower curtain rod, and the WORST of it all was the fact that there was mold growing on the walls next to my toilet. The good thing about them was the fact that they did come over to my house immediately and fixed the problem. I guess the point is, why wait until the new tenant comes in to get these things fixed' My neighbors weren't as bad the first year. However I did have problems with the apartment staff, like a maintenance guy for instance, who would occasionally knock on my window at 3 in the morning drunk or when they lost some of my mail (all this started to happen AFTER I renewed my lease, which I would definitely regret later).
Fast-forward to 2008. Since all of the new tenants and my new neighbors moved in, it has been HELL in these apartments. I don't know how many noise complaints I made this year against my neighbors upstairs and my neighbors next door to us. It has been a consistent pattern of loud music every night starting at 12am. The walls are extremely thin and I can hear my neighbors argue all of the time. When I complain to the office, all they say is, they will send a warning to them to keep the noise down. It never works! Last month, everyone in my apartment received a notice about there being a pet here, when there wasn't one here in the first place. I'm just tired of these apartments, I do not feel safe, and I regret ever referring any one to this place, never again will I!
