It's pretty quiet, comfortable and safe here, but the hot water goes out all the time, and the air conditioning is always breaking.

I have lived here a few years myself, and that is the one downside. It is not air conditioning here, it is a water cooled system, so every time they change from heat to cooled air and vice versa, you can lose the hot water. Plus the system breaks down and they had numerous water leaks for a fairly long period of time recently too. No mention of a discount on rent for our inconvenience.

Thank you to Anonymous (4/27/08) for your response about the hot water and air-conditioning problems. I was considering moving to The Lakes; but hot water problems is one of my absolute pet peeves!! I guess I'll look elsewhere, when I'm ready to move.
