They may have turned it around, but they kept many deposits and then filed bankruptcy to avoid paying their deposits back or their bills.
Wait until you don't get your deposit back and then see how you feel about them.
My son's apartment had mold growing in the a/c unit and water dripping the whole time.

Just Some advice, Read up on the landlord tenat act. It states that you can sue for up to twice the amount of the unreturned deposit in damages. They have 14 business days not including national holidays to get the deposit back to you and after that you have every right to take it to court. Good Luck!!
