My nightmare is almost over

I have lived at the Springs for 2 years and can happily say that I am relieved that my lease is up in March.

The first year I lived here the noise was a big problem.

Neighbors partying into the wee hours of morning...

loud music and disrespectful people.

There also used to be a lot of children that would run around, unattended.

I almost hit a child one time driving into the parking lot, as she ran out into the lot to get a ball, not paying attention.

All in all, the problems were bad, but they got much MUCH worse after I renewed my lease the second time last year.

This area has a horrible drug and crime problem.

I know many other residents who have advised to me that their vehicles have been broken into, some several times.

Luckily, this has never happened to me.

There are many suspicious people that walk around, mostly at night.

I have mentioned this to the staff SEVERAL times.

All I am told is that they will look into it, and if I see any other suspicious activity, to call the police.

Why is it my responsibility to do this' Many neigbors in my row smoke marijuana and do drugs in their apartments; I have also advised the complex about this many times, and nothing is ever done; the office staff told me to call the police...

we know that they would never make it in time to catch them.

These are just some of the reasons I do not feel safe living here.

Also, several months ago, the back parking lot was without lights for at least 4 months.

This meant that when I came home, I had to get out of my car in the dark, not knowing if anyone was lurking around etc....

How safe is that' I told the office staff about this and they advised they were waiting for TEP to install new lights...

why did this take 4 months' The noise is probably one of the biggest problems.

I have complained about the person above me at least 25 times in the past 2 years, and the noise continues to be a problem.

I was told many times by the staff if this problem continues, they will give a warning and then eviction notice...

why is this person still here then' I do not just complain about people because I want to, my reasons are justified.

I feel the complex also does not properly scan/check backgrounds of many of the residents that move in.

Almost every person in my row is always home...

sleeping during the day and partying at night...

this just doesn't seem right...

it makes me wonder how these people pay their rent even though they lay around all day and don't work.

The staff is horrible right now.

I do like the manager and assiatant manger, but their staff sinply do not care about these problems.

I filled out my 30 dy notice a couple of weeks ago.

I brought it in on a Saturday, and the employee I gave it to did not ask why I was leaving.

I received a call yesterday from another employee asking me to call her, as she did not want to see me go, and wanted me to renew my lease.

I called her today and she was told available, so another girl asked if she could help.

I told her exactly why I was leaving.

All she said was "We are sorry we are losing you" and that's it.

She did not ask what the problems were, or that she would look into these problems.

This obviously tells me very clearly that they really don't care about the issues that I have, and that me moving out will not be an issue, they will be able to find another person to pay the rent, and they don't care.

I am very lucky that I have found another complex that values it's residents concerns, and that they would love to have me as a resident.

All I can say is you better think twice about moving to this complex.

If a noisy, drug and crime filled apartment complex appeals to you, then this is the place for you.
