We lived at the 3340 N. Mountain Avenue location, managed by Tucson Rental Homes. In the two years we were there there were over 15 robberies, multiple attempted robberies, and our vehicle was stolen. We have contacted the complex manager about it and they refuse to do anything since it is "our responsibility" to ensure our own security. I have a renter's insurance policy and extra locks on all of the windows and doors, but it doesn't help me to sleep at night after someone tried to break into my apartment in the middle of the night when I was home alone. Our neighbors had a brick thrown through the window, and another neighbor was robbed and the robbers sedated and attacked her dog.
We have all filed police reports, and contacted the manager multiple times, only to be told that there is nothing that they are going to do. We pay enough in rent that we should have a gate, security cameras, and alarm systems in each unit. Additionally, I had a petition signed with every tenants name on it that I could find, stating that we demanded new security which I presented in person to the property manager. I asked the manager herself what she would do if she were in our situation, and she said she would pay off the lease and move. How does this woman go to work every day and allow people to rent these units that she herself would never rent'! What will it take to get them to remedy the unsafe conditions...does someone need to get raped or murdered'! It is a failure in not only humanity but as an adequate landlord to just turn their heads the other way and watch all of their tenants suffer financially and emotionally.
I filed a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and it is unfortunate to me that they have not been shut down yet. Not only was all of this astounding, but our AC broke and it took them over a week to replace it, displacing us from our "home" in August for a week, and there is a waiting list for tenants with the limited parking. No place for guests to park, and should they try to park there, they will be towed. Forget having people visit, because you don't want them parking across the street in the crack head neighborhood to have their vehicles broken into.
BOTTOM LINE>>>DO NOT RENT FROM TUCSON RENTAL HOMES UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED AND HAVE A VEHICLE STOLEN AND EVEN WORSE GIVE MONEY TO PEOPLE WHO COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY!!!

Thankfully me I haven't experienced the burglaries at my Tucson Rental Home. I live at the one on Speedway/Houghton and have only seen 1 car gotten broken into in the last 2 years I have lived here. But the maintenance and the management are very, very bad.
They have lost my rent. They now are charging $100 if you don't clean your backyard or park near the mailboxes to get your mail. And several of the management is excruciatingly rude and unhelpful. Plus every year the rent goes up A LOT. I want to move out when my lease is up in July but they are only giving me until April 30 to make a decision, and most places won't have July houses/apts availability until late May early June. They are trying to trap you.
Bottom line with Tucson Rental Homes = You can get SO much more at the price somewhere else. Unless you like to waste money.
