My husband and I moved to Tucson from out of state and were completely fooled by the website. The leasing center has the cutest houses, but then you move into an old, unkept house. Our's was not clean on move-in. We had multiple other problems like: the blinds half destroyed, the bathtub so stained that it can never look clean, the counters stained, the bathroom vanity has so much water damage, it is falling apart. The vents are all filthy and rusted. The second night we were there, the toilet overflowed everywhere. In the past month and a half, the evaporative cooler has broken more than once. When they finally come to fix it, they do a shotty job. And then two days ago, the termites swarmed. When I called the maintenance people, they said that they were just baby termites and they would die in a day or two. Just so you know, termites aren't born by immaculate conception! And, when I asked about if any of my furniture could be damaged by the termites and they replied that any damage would be covered by renter's insurance anyways! Now, it's raining and we have the paint in our bedroom bowing out with water and they don't seem to think this is an emergency. My bedroom carpet is soaking wet and several pairs of shoes ruined. They don't care. My bathroom is also collecting a rather large puddle.
To sum up, my advice is to have them show you the EXACT one you will be living in, because ours is run-down and falling apart.

I agree, now that the storms are here, I have leaks going on all over the house, and the office only tells me, "call the maintenance". They don't even try to be helpful or care at all-then I call the maintenance and they don't even have their answering machine on and the call is disconnected! It just goes to show they don't wanna deal with it!
