I have lived here for almost a year, and while the location is wonderful for a UofA student, the apartment itself is not. The walls are terribly thin. I can here the guy behind me watching tv, having sex, talking, I can even here his instant messanger ding through the wall. And when he has parties, there aren't enough earplugs or pillows in the world to drown the sound out. It sounds like elephants live above me, and they are petite women. The maintenance staff is very friendly as is the office staff, but they are slow to get things done. A portion of my roommate's bathroom ceiling fell down into the tub just one month after we moved in. It took them three days to fix it. The a/c leaks all over our carpet, and when we told the front office, they said someone would be down the next day - to my surprise no one came to fix it until the following week. I can only take a five minute shower because that is all the longer the hot water will stay warm. When I signed my lease, they said all of the apartments would have fresh paint and carpet. It's been almost a year, and I have yet to see fresh paint and new carpet. I wouldn't live here again. I cannot wait until my lease is over. The only benefit of this apartment is it's proximity to the University.
