I moved in August 2005. I was a transfer who did not want to dorm and this place was recommened by a friend. I was so excited to move into my own place. When I first moved in, the management was caring and made sure everything was A-OK. I basically got to pick my roommates and they did not stop until I was happy. A few months in, the s--t hit the fan. We got our hottub taken away because the dumba-- manager didn't get a permit. The security guard was no longer to be seen and crazy people would hop the fences to get into the complex. I couldn't find another place in time so I renewed my lease. BIG MISTAKE! New Management is always great -- NOT! The biggest group of morons I've ever encountered. The Mavericks (girls who live here for free) basically run the place. Not only did rent increase, so did the price for laundry. $1 to wash - $1.25 to dry.. What a f--king ripoff! We got our HBO taken away (which is apparently included in our rent) and the hottub still sits next to the pool locked up. There's no security, my bathroom sink still leaks (after 2 trips to the office). The carpets were ripped out of the hallways and have yet to be replaced so now it looks even more like a prison. Don't call the office because they don't answer the phone. They always just pick up and leave during the day to dilly-dally around town. There's a brand new Hummer that sits outside I could only imagine my rent helped pay for it. The apartments had no air-conditioning for a month when it was 90 degrees outside. They keep telling us they're going to give us something in return. I could take a guess and say the little cookout they had (5 people showed up) was the "big payback!" It's a real shame because it's cheap to live here (if you don't mind sharing a room) But goodluck with that because if you don't like your roommate it's not a lot of room to escape from one-another. There's mold in the bathroom, but don't worry because the lawn always looks nice and landscaped. There's one maintenence guy who cares, but they always send the jackass. The parties here are horrible, but you can wake up and be at class in 10 minutes. The only reason I would recommend this place is because of the location, other than that -- take the Cat Tran. A lot of you people sound very bitter but what are you expecting? The Buttes? Its a college place. Most of the residents are 18-22 suck it us. This place has cheap rent so if you want a nice little condo 15 miles off campus then go pay 1200 a month. Whiners
