Hi, I'm from California and a student of the UofA. So, last year when I was apartment searching I came across this site and read it's awful reviews but I decided to ignore them because I insisted that this place was nice. I REGRET THIS! Don't make the mistake I made. Sure the apartments are nice and HUGE inside, but they have hundreds more cons than pros, plus the walls are so thin you can hear every word of your neighbors' conversations. One night we actually heard a gun shot at 5 am below us. I felt scared every time that i had to walk to my car. This place is filled with MANY other people that are not students. They try to lead you on by telling you it's strictly students, but surely it isn't. My roommate was walking her dog at night (foolishly) and heard as she said "blood curdling screams". She ran faster than she ever has back to the apartment practically dragging her dog. So she called the police about a possible rape and they never responded to the situation. Management is SO POOR that I have now just found out that I have been paying $40 extra a month because of them. Every time I went into the office to drop off my check or fix something on my lease they would question me as to whether or not I was renting a big screen TV and had a pet (extra pet fee a month)and I said no, I had NEITHER, yet they could not seem to get it straight each time i went in. I had to tell them i didn't have either, but they still charged me for them. FRUSTRATING! This place is approximately 20 minutes from campus and it really became a huge hassle each day to commute. Please take my word and do not rent here. Im helping you.

Oh I forgot, toward the end of the year, we had disgusting bugs invade our kitchen and they got into all of our food, it made me want to VOMIT. Everything I looked in...bugs, I would toss a bag of pasta into boiling water....floating bugs. GAG ME!

And another, you will not get fast internet here. You sit and wait for the page to load for ever. My boyfriend didn't even want to ever come over because everything sucked so bad overall.
