When my boyfriend and I were looking around for an apartment we stopped by Valley View to get some information. The leasing guy was very nice and basically convinced us to move here. We put our deposit down and paid $90 worth of application fess a week before we were scheduled to move in. He let us know that the process would take 24 hours at the most and if he had any issues he would call us. We explained to him we did not have "a lot" of credit and asked him if this would affect us. After all we didn't want to lose $90 if we would not qualify for little to no credit. He flat out told us that if we had little to no credit we may be required to put down last months rent at he time of our move in. He told us that was the most that could happen. We thought this was great because we knew we would qualify from what he told us. The days went by and on the day we were set to move in we get a call from him telling us we could not move in because we didn't have "enough" credit. We were very angry because we were misled, we lost the $90, and he waited until the last minute to call us to let us know. We were told at the very beginning when we put the money down that it would take no more than 24 hours to run everything. This means he either waited till that day to run the report or he forgot to call earlier that week. I will NEVER go back here and I will NEVER recommend anyone to them. Plus I will never go to any apartment complex managed by Northland because of this experience.
