I moved in almost 7 mnths ago. New to Tucson and loved the area. Little did I know nor did they tell me they were going condo. certainly they knew and didnt disclose it. Moving to Tucson from Phx and knowing about condo conversions all over Phx, I asked before renting. I was told, NO...our community is too big for condos. Our owner has stated he wont convert. LIAR !!!!I was told that the improvements were cosmetic and that they were simply remodeling. Absolute Lie. Since being told of the conversion, I gone around town and been told this was planned a year ago. Seems the large brokers in town had in on the market as a "great condo conversion opportunity" Now they're changing the name and holding a big open house to sell them off quickly. Over 10 communities around town are converting. Where do we go now ' Where can we rent now ' All the Dist 16 apartments are now condos. Yank your kids out of school ' Tucson wages arent keeping up with Tucson house/condo prices.We will have the last laugh.. The staff that lied to me whan I asked before moving in, so I could make an informed decision ' They'll all be unemployed. Ventan Vista staff ....How are you going to pay your rent on un employment ''' Job hunting ' Atleast 10 managers and leasers and other staff around town will be unemployed too. Where are we going to live ' Where are you going to work ' Renters of Tucson : We need to unite and together, go down town and fight the city council on all the condo conversions. It was done in California and finally the renters won. We can do it here too. It is unfare to not disclose this info in advance. It is unfare that renters are being discriminated against. Kicked out of our homes so the million dollar owners can make multi million dollar profits on selling an apartment. Welcome to America ! The rich get richer and the average get screwed.

Call the news media !!! Lets start a war on the condo converting pigs who are kicking us out of our homes !! Everyone Call the newspapers, call the local news channels.

Right on!!! I am in another complex (in dist 16) that's converting to condos. I have been looking for a new place for a while, and was told by one place that 32(!!!) apartment complexes in Tucson are expected to convert this year. Yours is not the first story I've heard about how the complex lied about conversion. It seems to be happening all over.
