I have been a resident at this apartment for over a year now and can not wait for my lease to be up. First off I will start with the staff(mostly the manager, Gina, because of the new hiring)in one word, unacceptable. Residents are left out of the loop of information, such as when they are going to paint your building, which turned into a huge issue and other things like rent increase. I have filed many complaints on above neighbors for excessive noise at 2am and nothing has been done. Laziness and poor attitudes are also another problem in the leasing office. Second has to be the maintainence, or lack there of. With over 200 units it would be wise to hire more than 4 or 5 people to maintain them, but has not yet been done. My dryer broke and it took two days for them to even come look at it. My freezer stopped working and it took three days to get that fixed. My A/C unit leaks on my floor and has since i have been there; i have told them numerous times and it still leakes. There have been several incidents where I have asked them not to enter my apartment with out me there and come to find out the went in anyways, a couple of the times leaving lights on and doors open for pets to roam freely in areas where I keep them out of. Thanks guys keep up the great work. Third is parking, again, or lack there of. One spot per unit and very limited parking for guests or second vehicles. When I asked for a different spot because my truck was to big for the one i had and kept getting dinged by other vehicles I was told to get a smaller vehicle. Once again thanks for the help. Fourth and finally are the bugs, well ants in my case. They are everywhere, all of the time. I have had several occasions where the ants trail into my house for cat food or anything else they can find to eat. I was informed that that they have pest control but have never seen them. Overall i do not recommend these apartments to anyone. And with the increase in rent I will be departing as soon as my lease expires, which dont forget to give 60 days notice or you will get a fee.

I have also lived at VISTA DE SIERRAS FOR 2 YEARS, AND I WOULD HIGHLY recommend the place. My response to this idiot who wrote this is, 4 or 5 maintenance people for 200 units? That sounds like a piece of cake to me!!!!! Maybe you should know more about the place you live, and realize it's 400 beautiful apartments!!!! And the staff, now minus Gina, has been nothing but helpful and kind. THURSDAYS are bug days, and all complexes have them because other people are pigs! One free parking spot is an amenity I have been MORE than happy with! Everywhere else, they make you pay! And who would complain about the management painting? It seems they are making an effort to make the place nicer. I plan on living here gor a very long time, and frankly,I am glad people like you are moving from here. Also, you had the option of signing your lease before you lived there so you agreed to the 60 day notice. GO FIGURE!!!!!!!

It does not matter what the lease says, if you signed something that said in the fine print that they were going to kill you in the process of leasing the apartment, I'll bet you'd not agree with their point of view, even if you had not noticed it in with the many pages of nonsense you are supposed to sign. The lease alone should have caused me concern and I should have walked when I saw the amount of legal drivel they loaded this thing with. You do not go into the agreement with the expectation that you will have to break the lease and if you knew the place was as bad as it really was, you would not be there in the first place. If the management deceives you, and fails to provide a clean and safe environment, then they have not honored the lease. The parking spots are of little use, they are too small, and the other tenants do not treat the place like home. With that, you will find that there are tenants who are friendly with the management, and will no doubt be taken care of and will get away with as much as they can. If the other tenants and office staff harass you, then your quality of life will be essentially zero. To those working there, this is just business, to residents it is home, or you would think. From what I saw, the response by patricp is correct in the assessment that the other tenants are pigs, they are also drug addicts, drunks, felons, crack heads, murderers, and pedophiles. If you make the mistake of complaining to the office about anything, you will be threatened with eviction and will have trouble renting another apartment. If you are concerned about anything you will need to call the police, and hopefully they will get around to it before they find your dead body in front of the office or somewhere in the parking lot. If you are around at night you may want to watch out for the Javelina or Peccories who will be searching for food and often travel in packs. There are also lots of coyotes around and the occasional tarantula to contend with.
