Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
I have lived at Vista De Sierras for almost 3 years. I will preface this by saying I stayed because it was easier than moving while working on back-to-back Bachelors and Masters Degrees. If it wasn't for my schooling situation I would have left after my 1st year.
I'll break this into catagories:
Parking:
The parking in this complex is ridiculous. I have to fight to keep my covered spot MINE!
The lights on the parking awnings are always out. Known more than one person who's vehicle has been vandlized.
Grounds:
Pitiful is the only way to describe the grounds to these "luxury" apartments. The ONLY time the grounds around my building get worked on, is when I complain enough. They usually take 3-5 MONTHS to get someone to landscape around my building. I've complained so much I should be on the payroll...
Buildings:
The building are the only positive thing I have to say about this complex. Whoever built them did it right, they are pretty solid & quiet.
Apartment interiors:
The model apartments are the only apartments that have newer appliances. The appliances in the rental apartments are OLD! I complained for over a year ago about a problem with my stove, that to this day has never been fixed. The kitchen cabinets are so small you have to put a standard sized dinner plate in at an angle to get it in the cabinet. The carpet is standard 3yr carpet. After 3 years its done. Incedently, the intallers put my carpet right over the vinyl flooring in the entryway of my apartment. The door to my apartment doesn't fit correctly, its too small for opening. Because of this, the door doesn't seal properly. The Staff's fix was to intall 2 striker plates on the door frame, making it thicker.
The Staff:
The old staff practiced reverse rasicm (they were all black). Found numerous cases where gonga lease deals were cut for minority tenants, but not for us average white guys. The new staff has a habit of losing paperwork, work requests, 60 day non-renewal paperwork, etc. They are condesending, rude, and look at you like talking to you is ruining their day.
