where the heck do i start' this place is sooo bad. cars getting broke into, gangs sitting on the stairs, unsupervised children runnng in the parking lots. people leaving laundry in the dryers for hours and not retrieving them, (and management does nothing), pools are open.... sometimes, pools are closed because the city says they are not healthy to swim in. low income, section 8 people moving in like crazy, and people sit with thier doors open, and they have such a mess it is so disgusting. this place lets anyone rent here, and they dont care how dirty you are. the office people are stupid, and rude, and by golly you ask to get something to be fixed, because after a year, i stopped asking them to fix my damn door, it never happened. walls are paper thin, and i heard my downstairs neighbors shutting thier doors.... i think it is unsafe to have children here. i reported a pervert old man (in bldg 4) and alas, he still lived there when i left... we are talking about a man who has his door open, and his couch facing it, and watches little kids walk by, and if you went to the pool, you would see him watching the kids play. it is just very unsafe here. i wont mention the party kids who drink and throw bottles everywhere and party till 5 am, and the cops dont show, nor does management do anything about the problem. if you have any dignity or self respect.... do not look to move here. westgate park has a bad rating for a reason folks. it is not good.

This persons review is NOT TRUE and HIGHLY exagerated! Please read below!
I feel bad for you but unfortunately I do not agree with your assessment of WestGate. Do you notify the office of these things, do you call the Security at night? THEY have SECURITY! WestGate may have their problems...just like any other complex but I have not seen all this EXTENSIVE drama that you are mentioning, and I live two buildings away. I have almost been here a year, and have heard of ONE car being stolen, none broke into including my own. Gangs...haven't seen them. Probably have been around like any other place but I haven't seen them. Children running around...yeah..that is scary but the parents responsibility not the apartments. And THEY are kids! Laundry problems...I have yet to see that...maybe ONE dryer. Big deal! The pools are an issue because of the inproperly supervision of children but that is anywhere. I am low income section 8 as well due to circumstance and I take offense that we are portrayed as disgusting, messy people. Westgate does not let ANYONE rent here I went to a thourough background check and had to sign a criminal activity "not allowed" contract like everyone else. If you have a problem with your door and you are not getting it fixed then something else is going on because within 3 days to a week all my problems are resolved. Could it be that you are a complainer. So they don't take you seriously! The walls aren't that thin, what do you expect, you are living in a pretty big complex. Yeah, you hear other peoples doors closing...cuz they are heavy and well fit to provide insulation! If there is a pervert in a building they need to know but there is only so much they can do...unfortunately until he does something. That is THE LAW...not WestGate! Westgate does have issues just like any other property but I know from experience that this is a paradise for all the ammenties, for the cost. I lived in a absolute hell hole for 5 months. Cops there every week, not to mention drugs and the whole enchilada. So who ever you are....you need a reality check!

first of all, learn to use spell check... it's exaggerated. and not at all.
i took them to court, because when i moved out... they charged me over a thousand dollars. in which i took video of my move in and move out.. the judge ruled that my move out was cleaner than the move in. i got all my money back, AND they got stuck paying the court fee's.
i am glad the person who disclaims my review has had a better time there, but i still would not refer this place to anyone.
and if that person would like, you can hop on to the www.bbb.org site, and see what others have done to protect your ass. just because it is not happening to you, does not mean it has not happened to me or anyone else. but i hope you get your security deposit back.... let me know when you do... in court, darlene specifically said to the judge..." no one gets back a security deposit, not in the last 5 years i have been here". and that is court documented. so please do let me know if you get your security deposit back, and whole hell of aggrevation when you move...
