Experience declined in quality from excellent to fair

Initially I really enjoyed living at Winterhaven, however, recent circumstances have me counting the months until my lease expires. The majority of my criticism concerns the general change in community and atmosphere. The former management, leasing, and maintenance staff were absolutely wonderful - personable, helpful, efficient, and prompt. After management changed hands earlier this year, there has been a perceptible decrease in all these areas, though basic amenities and services do remain. Present staff is lacking in both energy and attention to detail (for example, I was summoned to the office on several occasions to pick up packages that were not addressed to me and though I paid my rent a couple months in advance, I still received a late/ eviction notice). The most notable change seems to be in tenant quality - quiet, respectful residents have been replaced by extremely noisy, inconsiderate oafs who treat the lawns as trash cans, feel it is perfectly acceptable to blare music daily from morning to night (often until 2am), and return home loud and late at night ensuring that you are informed of their comings and goings. Some tenants are a bit disagreeable. I echo an earlier poster's observations that the walls are thin and property maintenance (leaf blowers) does indeed begin promptly at 7am, sometimes slightly earlier. I would add that pest control could be better and there have been some reports of vehicle break-ins, though thankfully I have not experienced this problem. Given all this, the individual units are very nice, especially upstairs apartments. It is very convenient having a personal washer and dryer. The apartments receive lots of light. My only criticism is that some appliances are a bit outdated, but I concede the old adage "If it ain't broke..." Overall, the facilities are very good, probably the best part of living at Winterhaven. All in all, things are decent, but not as good as they were or could be; once you have experienced excellence, it is difficult to downgrade to mediocrity. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn
