It saddens me to read the comments that I have about this beautiful hotel. Shame on the management and shame on who ever owns it. It was one of the most wonderful places to live when I lived there. We had one of the corner sweets on the third floor on the west side. My neighbors were great and of course we also had people who were a little wierd, but it just added to the charm. I will look into why it is in such bad shape. I would imagine it is money, but I would think this would be on one of the historical lists. It does have quite a history. You all should get together and try to do something about it. Go to the chamber of commerce, go somewhere and save this wonderful hotel.

I lived there in the mid 1980's for about 6 months and thought it was a cool place to live, although I did have a leaky ceiling on the third floor. But my studio was cool.....I am sorry to see they haven't kept it up at all.
