I have lived here nearly 12-years and would not live anywhere else. With one short-lived exception when Sequoia first bought the properties, Ballena Village staff have been professional and responsive. I also have a couple neighbors that were here before me.

I have always received timely repairs - even on weekends therefore I have no complaints regarding maintenance. The grounds are cleaned often which could get out of hand due to the winds blowing off the Bay. Trash left by students - high schoool across the street - is routinely policed up by maintenance staff.

My visitors inform me that parking is good except when there is a home football game - maybe five Friday evenings a year at the most. One day out of the year there is a "Battle of the Bands" parade that is staged on 3rd Street, early on a Saturday, but I look forward to it and put a chair by the window to watch.

Excellent location for anyone working in San Francisco, since the Transbay bus stops in front of the apartment complex or thee ferry is 5-minutes away for you seafarers.

I feel safe and secure since Alameda has a low crime rate and a responsive, very modern police force.
