This is the worst place I have ever lived. There are like 10 different people working out of the rental office- which, I could never understand why- since nothing ever seems to get done. My shower was clogged on move-in day and it took about 2 weeks to get fixed (having to turn the water off every other minute to prevent flooding sucks when u are showering). When the outside lighting was out, it took over a month; and currently, our gate has been broken for about 2 months (which is not much of a protection anyway since people can just walk around the gate) and has yet to be fixed.
Aside from that, the management here sucks. Some of them are very nice, yes (Sierra is AWESOME and I certainly hope she finds a better job soon), but most of them just give you that fake nice and then doesn't help you.
And please do not let the artificial creek around the property fool you. The water is DISGUSTING and smelly and the ducks always crap all over the sidewalk. If you want to catch the avian flu, this is the way to go.
Lastly, the rent increase. I have to agree with everyone with that issue. The rent ALWAYS increases, even when the market goes down. In my first lease renewal, it went up approximately 5% even though housing prices were dropping-- I know people whose rent has even dropped over 10% in mid-contract. I was too lazy to move, so I renewed the contract since it was only 5% increase. But when my contracted expire again, this time significantly! The worst part is, I could SEE my same apartment being advertised online for less!
DO NOT MOVE HERE THIS PLACE SUCKS. If you HAVE to move here, READ YOUR CONTRACT VERY CAREFULLY (as you always should) because the person whom helped me when I first moved in lied about not having to pay for sewage/garbage, and also the required rental insurance (which also adds to the cost of move-in). Again, it is my fault for overseeing it in the long winded contract, but it is still nontheless unethical to lie to a person's face (and yes, I asked her directly about these).
Oh, and one last thing about rental insurance. If you will notice, the plan they "suggest" that you buy through the insurance provider (they get commission, I'm sure) actually does NOT fulfill the contract terms in the coverage amount, so the whole thing is really just -------- for them to make more money.
