Nice views from several units. Nice area. Directly across the street from a large beach area. Traffic isn't bad even in the summer when there are a lot more visitors to the beach. Easy walking distance to Southshore Towne Centre with a massive Safeway, Starbucks, Walgreens, Trader Joe's, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Appleby's, Mervyn's, Office Max, Blockbuster Video, Post Office, Big Five Sporting Goods, Pet Smart, etc. Assigned parking included in the rent but security is an issue. The gates are situated such that trespassers could easily follow a car in to the garage. In 2005 a car was stolen from the garage. This is an older building and you can hear your neighbor's television if they have it set loud and you can easily hear your neighbors cough or sneeze or make whoopie. If you have neighbors above you their footfalls, kitchen noises, and bathroom noises are easily audible. Some of the units face the bowling alley next door and the noises from there can be bothersome especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Heaters are very old and noisy but not particularly expensive to run during winter. Insulation seems poor and units seem drafty and cold in winter. Both elevators go all the way to the ground floor parking area which is a real plus for the disabled. Laundry areas are adequate and there is one on each floor. There were some troubled tenants with unruly teens for a while but they seem to have moved out over the last year or so. Small swimming pool.
