Multi-family housing isn't for everyone, and some of these comments seem incredibly petty to me. If you like the amenities that an apartment complex offers (pool, laudnry rooms, parking lot, club house w/ pool table, ping pong, vending machines & ice machine), and you want a place that's excellently maintained, then the Franciscan Apartments is one of the best that you'll find on Alameda. Especially for the price.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, and it seems like any maintenance issues get taken care of the same day. The staff is really great, you can tell that they really care and take a lot of pride in how things are here.
There aren't a lot of restrictions (unless you have an issue with stuff like don't get arrested on the property, put your trash in the bins, and respect your neighbors). And I get deliveries all the time from FedEx & UPS. The deal is that the managers can't accept any deliveries for tenants, so we have to take care of that ourselfs.
And honestly dude . . . if your apartment's too small for you, or if you hate puddles, move to a bigger place where it doesn't rain! 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn

I thoroughly agree . I moved to another state Oct 2007 and had absolutetly no compaints while I was a tenant. I'd still be there had I not relocated. Maintaince was always good - Leo fixed things right away. The Management , at least with my dealings with them, were great too. My packages, if I wasn't home to accept them, were either left in the LOCKED lobby or a notice was posted by the delivery agent.
this is far and away a great place to live!

Good for you if you have had such a wonderful experience. I prefer to have the closets in the bedroom as well as really like having a dishwasher. I assume that the deliveries you get from UPS and Fedex is when you are home as they usually will not leave them in a hallway. I work a full time job from 8am and am not usually home till 6:30pm. Most deliveries come either around late morning or early afternoon. I would think if there is a property manager in the office that they would set up something so tenants can receive deliveries when they are not home. Also, covered parking is an issue that isn't petty if you own a nice 2007 car and want to keep it not only clean but from being an oven from sitting in the sun.
