Yo!

Quiet and spacious. Kind, responsive management, too.

Fairly large (about 700sq/ft in the 1 bdrm apts), the place is very quiet, and unlike the rude and noisy apes in some places, the neighbors here are polite. The parking lot is in front of the building so you are removed from the street traffic. There are only 3 visitor parking spaces, but there is some decent street parking most of the time. Much of the available parking is covered by a steel roof or shadowed by large pine trees, so that keeps the cars cooler in the daytime. There is a gigantic swimming pool. The hallways are wide, and there is a new, reasonably priced laundry facility in the building that uses rechargable "credit" cards instead of coins. There is a huge laundry business directly across the street if the in-building one is busy. You also get a pretty large patio (at least on the 1 bedroom unit we have). The management has been very kind and responsive in checking out any issues with our place. We did have some, but they were mostly just minor stuff that didn't affect livability at all and it's taken care of now. Another great thing is that there are no pests. We used to have a place in Davis and it had pests, so we were glad these guys keep things in order. There's also 1 bus stops with 2 blocks of the building and another 3 blocks away. These are local and transbay buses that go directly to downtown San Francisco in 25 minutes, so that is very convenient for me. Great thing is that it is only 1 block from Webster which has all the shopping and stuff. Yummy, there's even a Foster Freeze on the corner, here! Alameda also has its own electric utility which is supposedly cheaper than PG&E (didn't have to pay electric at my parents place, so I can't compare). Oh, and there's no bums here, either. And the beach is just 4 or 5 blocks away, as well as a humongous park and baseball field - very cool.

Overall, I think this is definitely a town and apartment complex worth checking out.
