The models are great! The complex looks great from a far and walking through it...that s about it. Forget what the difference is from when it used to be Harbor that was then what s happening now is a shame! 1st phase tenants were promised allot by eager and excited staff that seem to have been trained to show a glossy red apple. The fact is that the gloss on the apple is nice and attractive but the inside is bitter and hard.
CONSTRUCTION:
-No SOUND PROOFING on the old Harbor Island frame
-The old wood floors CREEK like a 1960's horror film sound effect
-I can't appreciate the four different types of grass & colors through the complex
SERVICE:
-The first security guard company had to be fired because they slept in there car more then they provided security, kind of like the current one. I wish I could post those pictures.
-The first manager was so overburdened with complications, problems, issues and shining that red apple she stepped down to leasing agent.
-The management (former & current) have challenges enforcing the animal standards with in the contract. Animal size, breed defecation or walking areas.
-Management has tried to have tenants sign an addendum to there already signed contract governing utilities.
-Tenants were told that each apartment would have two parking spaces and as Jan 07 we are to be assigned only one. There is no parking available on Buena Vista Street due to all the other apartment complexes.
SUMMERY:
The summer house new management has its focus on presenting that shine on that apple first and foremost. That feeling is very clear after living here after the first month. A few months later it is obvious that cutting corners with labor, materials and appliances helps there monthly bottom line. The move-in specials and even the rents are all so different not from just one building to the other, but from floor to floor. Some of the leasing staff (the one that live here) seem defeated and/or force a happy greeting. The ones that don't and the new management patronize your concerns and insist you have your rent in with out fail. What s the difference between the old Harbor Island Apartments and the Refurbished Summer House' Well the cops still pay visits here, tenants still race out of the parking lot, you still can here your neighbor upstairs having sex, and Pit Bulls still have a home here, what s different'
The rent amount...that s what!

I agree with you. Especially on the parking. My assigned spot is at lease a quarter of a mile away from my apartment. I can never find a security officer anywhere!!! The noise is ridiculous!!! I can not wait for my lease to expire!
