Here's my input...
I am on ApartmentRatings.com searching for apartments in Southern California. It's unfortunate my assignment had ended in SF which will take me down South. I thought since I was on this website I would look at what people are saying about my community I live in (Summer House Apartments). As I am reading through some of these postings I find 98.9% are hard for me to believe. Since I have relocated out here to the Bay Area I have searched for apartments all around the area including SF. I found this place was the nicest place for the best price in the whole area. Where could you find a Brand New 2 bedroom apartment under $1500.00'' I love my apartment and have lived very comfortable for the past 7months. I have dealt with management and have always felt respected a appreciated. I had a light build go out in my bathroom one time which took Management less then 2 hours to come to my apartment and replace it. I am not just saying this because I think the manager is a total babe but really cause I appreciate the property I live in and my 7months experience here. People will always have there personal opinions and doubts about things, but why ruin it for the rest of us to try and find out things on our own. I have not had one problem living in this place other then a burned out light bulb. So why try and discourage a person like me to live at a place like this because you had a bad experience that was probably your fault. People just need to get out, get fresh air and stop trying to crush people. Please if you are reading my posting check it out for yourself and don't let ignorant people make decisions for you. Good Luck w/ your Apartment Search.

Regards,
Summer House Resident

I have lived at Summerhouse apartments since October 1, 2006, and it has been miserable. I want to warn everyone NOT to live here. I've been renting apartments for more than 20 years and this is absolutely the worst situation I've ever been in. Even the Comcast Cable people said Summerhouse needs to get their act together and have had trouble dealing with management. Consider yourself lucky that you haven't had the terrible experiences the rest of us have. Clearly you are under the influence of Katie, the "babe".

Looks like your the only one who feels this way. For the rest of us it takes more than a pair of giant fake breasts to make us happy. Your in the coast guard aren't you?

If your the only one happy, you must be on of the staff. this place if a dump! i've got ---- coming out of my toilet at least once a month! when i moved in, there was urine and ---- all over the bathroom. The staff said they'd clean it up, but never happend. Why would they, I already signed the lease.. Those a** holes!

I really wish I had the same experience as you at Summer House, but unfortunately, through no fault of my own it is not. And I think it is okay for residents to post their experiences so that others can be warned. I truly wished I would have read these reviews prior to signing the lease, because I am having the same problems...plumbing issues, parking.....and it isn't a coincidence but a miserable reality.

I agree with all those who have it hard with Summer House. I moved in Feb 2007 and with in the first 3 days my townhouse flooded with sewage and within hours after the entire building was flooded with sewage. I had to fight with management for five days before they agreed to move me and my children to another unit in another building. The light fixtures through out the building were even flooded with sewage and it took them three days to send someone to clean it. I later found out that the plumbing should have been replaced when they renovated the property, but the investors choose not to save money. The management staff was very unfriendly ???AFTER??? the lease was signed and maintenance service was horrible, but due to the fact there were so many issue with so many apartment, they didn???t have a big enough staff to handle all the issues. Parking was a nightmare; there weren???t enough parks for all the residents. I finale had enough and paid to break my lease and moved out 9 months later.
