The apartment grounds are very nice. When we first moved in the staff was very friendly and quick to get us to move in. Then we started to have major parking issues! There was a point that in 2 weeks we were only able to park in our spot 4 times. We called the managment every time like we were asked to do, but they did nothing. Finally, we realized that if we wanted something done we had to do it ourselves. We called the Alameda PD and had the car sited.
Now, people have moved above us and the floor creeks! It is so loud! We know exactly where the people above us are, what time they go to bed (last night it was at 2:30), what time they get up. I haven't heard creeking like this before. We just signed our lease in April and we cannot wait till it is up! I do not recommend this apartment!!

I had the same problems with parking. In frustration I once parked behind the car parked in my spot, and I got cited for blocking the parking lot! The noise is unbelievable in these apartments. I can hear my upstairs neighbors alarm clock, hear them sneezing, even hear every conversation. I've been told that when the apartments were "remodeled" they knew about the lousy insulation but chose not to add insulation to save costs. Even though the leasing agent told me before I moved in that extra insulation had been added to take care of any noise issues. I was lied to about nearly everything before I moved in, and had nothing taken care after I moved in. If you arethinking about moving here - DON"T DO IT.

Ahhh, well I hate to say "we told you so" Those of us in 529 have around 30 days on our lease and then alot of us are getting the hell out. i had the same prob with my upstairs neighbor, who I'm convinced is a skitso, and the problem with parking only gets worse. I'm sorry you signed 12 months, i just hope more people do their research before moving here.

I think EVERYONE who's lease is up in 529 is moving.... You will be seeing my moving truck August 1st! My old neighbors were crazy, and recorded hours of noise from the kids upstairs, called the police constantly, and were eventually moved to another building. My new neighbors (Just moved in July 1st) seem to really enjoy fish! As a matter of fact, they seem to only cook and eat fish. It's not regular old fish, it is REALLY offensive, smelly fish. Now the hallway, and if I open a window, my apartment smells like a back alley in fishermans' wharf. Which moving company are you using? Maybe they will cut us a deal if several of us use the same company....
