Yo!

noisy shopping carts and pool area

I only lived here so long due to it being financially challenging for me to move.

I agree with the previous reviewers that the management has it together, but honestly how frequently do we actually see the manager ' One woman raising a family is managing 72 apartments. Office hours are less than 20 hours per week and frequently even those are cancelled.

You have to pay $5 for a laundry card and the machine to get credit on the card is in the managers office, so challenging when office hours are limited.

The apartments are an old 70's construction and noise really carries. The windows are flimsy and don't really block out the noise well. They have also had extensive mold problems in the complex. Most apartments do not have dishwasher.

Manager allows people to bring in shopping carts and use them to move their stuff around the building. The walkways are not carpeted so the noise from the carts is very annoying and unacceptable.

Barbeque grills are placed in the central courtyard in the summer, and many tenants invite their extended family over for a cookout , so the smoke comes in your windows, also their kids will take over the pool and there can be lots of loud screaming. Also the manager admitted to me that it really wasn't legal to have the grills where they are located due to fire hazards, but that hopefully the fire marshal wouldn't find out. Same thing concerning people cooking out on their balconies...just look the other way and enjoy the charcoal smoke.

Towards the end of my stay I had very loud talking neighbors move in and they never shut their windows. You could hear them talking all the way across the complex even though they are inside their apartment. Generally there are a lot of people who move in who probably grew up in a noisy environment so many couldn't care less if their noise bothers others. It's nearly impossible to sit in your living room and read a book, etc with windows open given all the noise in the complex
