Nice but charged me 250$ extra on move out

Apartment is nice and liked living there parking space can be a problem at time and my assigned spot of little far away from my building so i never used it.

I lived there for short period and moved out before my lease experied(job change). I spent hours making sure I leave the apartment in prefect condition so that I dont get any moveout charges. First they could not send a guy for moveout inspection on my last day. Secondly I got a big shock to find out they charged 300$ as moveout cost!!!!

When I called they told that they will check with maintenance guys and let me know why i got these charges. Next day i got a call and they said they can give me a discount of 50% on total charges(saying because put effort in cleaning the apartment etc etc) I refused the offer and requested the photos to support the charges. The lady said she will talk to her manager and will call me back and they will provide me the photos after talking to manager.

Then after 2 days i got the call from leasing office that they will take out all the charges except the carpet cleaning(which i will agree was in prefect condition as it was when i moved in but then i dont have steam vac or anything but it was not dirtly at all).

Finally my suggestion make sure to take photos of apartment while moving out to cover yourself of any moveout charges

I would recommend doing a walk-thru with the manager at move-out. This is the right of any tenant. Always demand it.
