We've lived here for 3 years and the only reason we've stayed this long is because of the location and being next to our child's school. But enough is enough! It has gotten to the point where it's just not worth it. We are literally counting the days until our lease is up!
First of all the leasing office has the most rude and incompetent staff ever! Like others have said, they are sweet as honey to you when you first visit the site. But once you sign that lease, they suddenly forget who you are. They are rude, rude, rude! I don't think I've ever seen them smile! Don't even get me started on the stupid bookeeper! She's lost our rent check FOUR TIMES in the past 18 months! And how did we find out that they lost our check' By finding a friendly eviction notice on our front door! And when we finally called them and showed them copies of the check THEY ALREADY CASHED we didn't even get an apology! One time the bookeeper found our check in the trash and tried to blame us for the kind of envelope we used!
Another issue we've had is the poor quality of the appliances. We're on the first floor and our upstairs neighbors water heater has leaked 8 times in the three years we've been here. Supposedly they've replaced it a couple of times, but you'd never know it! Each time it's resulted in our ceiling leaking. Our water heater leaked once last year. We had three inches of water throughout our living room. It was like pulling teeth to get the office staff to do anything about it. They gave us an attitude when we asked them to come take care of it! They also refused to replace the carpet after the leak was fixed!
We had a fire in our dryer last year. It took them two days to come and take a look at it!
The complex itself has its issues and of course the staff does nothing about it. People park illegally or in another person's spot. The staff won't do anything about that, but instead will ticket another car for having expired tags! The gates on the complex are useless. As I type this they haven't worked in over three weeks! They don't care about maintance of the complex. I saw graffitti on one wall stay there for almost two months before they took care of it. The gardeners come with their noisy weed wackers twice a week yet many of the bushes are so overgrown that it creates blindspots while driving. My husband reported a concrete sign that was starting to fall off of the top of one of the buildings. They did nothing about it until two weeks later when it finally fell down. If someone had been standing on the stairs at the time, they would've been killed!
Honestly, this place would be close to perfect if the office staff would actually DO SOMETHING. They seem more concerned about getting new tenants than trying to keep the ones they have.
