Before moving here, I did some extensive research based on my list of priorities. It was between St. Moritz, City Lights, and Alize. Alize won based on the school's boundary lines. The other two apartments would put my kiddos at Wood Canyon Elementary. However, I wanted them at Don Juan Elementary School, great school with very involved parents. So Alize was the winner based on my priorities. Also, my best friend had lived here about five years before so I know that she had no major issues.

I have to say that overall my experience has been pleasant. I love the greens, the gym, and the overall cleanliness of the property. Most folks living here are either professionals or semi-professionals. You have your friendly neighbors and your recluse neighbors. Mainly everyone keeps to themselves. Management is not so friendly. Your leasing team was helpful, until this new temp hispanic guy joined the team. He seems negative, and a meddler. Management and neighbors are not very kid friendly. It always felt that the management was very pet friendly. You would get comments on little toddlers riding their bikes on the green belt's sidewalks. Yet not a whole lot of action when owners left their doggie's poo bags on the grassy areas by the sidewalks. And I have seen a shar pei attempt to bite someone while just walking around the dog. Not sure if there was an actual bite because I was not next to them. But just an attempt is scary enough.

My only other complaints are the constant Friday, and Tuesdays' landscapers blowing and lawn mowing...but it is the necessary evil, hence the overall cleanliness and attraction. The lack of common sense sometimes with management and maintenance with problem fixes. However, very prompt with response time and attempts. As far as returning deposits, I have not left yet so I cannot comment to that. But, I will make sure we do a walk through. Plus my husband and I are both real estate agents so we shouldn't have issues with that.
