Archstone apparently has a policy of charging cleaning, painting and carpet cleaning on move out no matter the actual condition of the property. Upon move out, I cleaned the rugs with a professional machine, cleaned the kitchen and bath completely, and cleaned and repainted as needed. The apartment was seen by Carolyn who commented that it was cleaner than when I moved in. Despite this, I was charged for a full cleaning, carpet cleaning and repainting. This was ridiculous. It strikes me as dishonest.

This is a real joke, when I moved in the apt it was gross. They put paint over the dirt. They put seal over the mildew in the restroom. So they charge the cleaning fee, but dont really clean. Then I guess that residents who leave should not clean before they go. My lease will be up next month, we are so out of here. (Counting the days to freedom!)

it is terrible. when we moved in they didnt tell that they are gonna charge us for cleaning despite we asked about it so many times...everything was good until we moved out.. I thought they have very good managment, but they fool us by 150$ fuel gift... it's unfair... really unfair... almost 220$ for recleaning!
