Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
After living at the Aventine for a year, I will be moving out because I'm just not impressed with the tenant services or benefits they offer. My roommate and I chose to move into the Aventine because of the exceptional friendliness of the staff, but once signed on as tenants, they didn't go out of their way to be friendly or helpful. It seemed like a bait and switch technique.
I would strongly advise that if you do move in, don't choose the top floors as the stairs are prohibitive of getting furniture, groceries, etc. due to how narrow they are. Our neighbors across the way are extremely loud and obnoxious, which I don't blame the complex for, however the couple of times my roommate and I have had friends over we received complaints. It is a very arbitrary way of managing.
The complex itself is nice, and I like the apartment although it is costly for such a small space.
I considered moving to a one bedroom when my lease ended, but was informed that I would have to pay another deposit and the cost would only be $80 less than the current 2 bedroom, 2 bath I live in. I won't be renewing a lease with them.
