I have lived here for about 3 years. The management is HORRIBLE. They don't even know how to answer the simplest question, and when they do it is in a rude and irritated manner. The office personell are probably the biggest downside to living at Barcelona.
The maintenance is horrible. Their '24 hour emergency service' is the biggest joke I have ever seen or heard of. It takes them sometimes 2-3 days,and even then you have to argue with them about when you placed the service call. They usually fix the problem you have, and it ends up breaking or needing to be fixed again. Also, the condition the apartment is when you move in is bad. Yesterday the shower track came out of the wall, for no reason. Yeah guys, a caulking gun is not going to hold stuff like that in place.
Parking is a pain, especially after 5 or 6. The security guy(s), are morons. They drive like maniancs and will give you a warning or notice for the most retarted reasons.
So I gave notice that I was moving out, that was a pain too. They tell me to talk to the office people, then make me go to the maintenance people. Then after a few papers are signed they tell me i didn't do it right and need to go through accounting. oh my gosh, just let me leave!
The only upside to barcelona' The trees, i suppose.

I have lived @ The Barcelona for 4 yrs. I have a family of 3, My husband and 5 year old son and I love it. The Gym is wonderful, the pool area is that of the classiest hotels. The staff is fantastic. There always is parking, you may have to park by the gate but oh well. The are never any problms the maintience crew cant handle. They offer monthly trips. Have ice cream socials for $1.oo , pizza nights for $3.00 and barb ques by the pool , at least once a month. They also have many parties for the kids every holiday. The apartments are like condos. I love it and will stay her until I buy my own home. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!
