We have lived at Barcelona for almost 2 years. Our lease will be up in 6 weeks and I can't wait! I am so excited to get out of here, I already have a new place lined up... a private residence this time. When we first moved into the Barcelona, everything was fine. Within months, things got worse. Management staff are absolute morons & don't really care to fix any problems in units or on the property. Loud parties happen at least once a week & the partiers seem to get louder after 1AM. Parking is a complete nightmare. They give you one garage, but if you have two cars, make sure the driver without the garage gets home before 5pm and doesn't want to leave again until the next morning. Don't even think about leaving on the weekend if you don't have a garage... I live like a hermit after 4pm on weekdays and on weekends. My 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome is clean, but we still had mice. For over a year management did nothing about it. Then I found a huge rodent dead & stinky in my house, finally someone came over to remove it & the mice problem ended. Appliances are old. Every sink leaks. Rent goes up over a $100 a month every year when you renew your lease. Our rent jumped from $1800/mo to $1950/mo in one year. I'm leaving before they raise it again. There is a $750 pet deposit, but no additional pet rent... that's a positive. The pool is nice, another positive. For the money, you can get much better homes with little yards & 2 car garages... pass this place up and keep searching.

Did you ever find a new place? Do you like renting with a private owner? Im with a private owner now and he's doesn't have any knowledge on how to fix things. He broke amy window accidentally when I moved in and said he would fix it...but now he says he just doesn't have the money to fix it. I'm very fustrated with him. This happeneded with another private owner. I was owed my deposit back and he agreed to that...but when it came time - he "just didn't have the money" He avoided me then moved and changed his number. What do you think the best apartments are in AV?
