I have lived here for two years, never missed a payment, and never been a bother. The staff here state rules that make no sense.
1. People were parking in my space continuously and I complained over and over. probably 3X per week. They put a paper sign up for two weeks stating that this isa reserved space and then notified me that that is all they can do (14 days). Then I complained and they said they would tow offenders. I called and called and then nothing! Nobody was ever towed. How is it that a DEEDED space that I pay for is not their responsibility to allow me to park there' If someone broke into my abode and just sat down... Come on!
2. Move out was greatly misrepresented! The cancellation states that 30 days of notice are needed. I called in stating that I am not cancelling my lease, but that I am moving out, not sure which date, but before the lease expires. The person I spoke with stated that I had until the 24th to notify of renewal, so not to worry about it. it is the 12th and...of course they want to charge me for 30 days at an exhorbitant rate from the date that I knew my move would be scheduled! I just wanted my lease to expire. On the otherhand... the 24th was the date that they could start charging the higher rate if I did not renew...Never was there a date nmentioned that I have to notify I am leaving the premises with no charge. WTF'''

Most Management companies state that you must give a 30 day written notice before you move out. You can't just let your lease "expire". Read your agreement next time.

Actually in response to the comment above. Most Property Management Companies state that you need to submit a 30 day notice to move, however if you turn in keys and hand over posession of the apartment on the day that your lease expires, by law, you do not have to put in a 30 day notice, nor can they charge you anything for not doing so.

In response to the comment above... they can charge for 30 days after your lease expires unless someone rents it before the 30 days is up. In your agreement it states a 30 day notice is required. If you just turn in keys with out giving notice that is going to be the start of your notice. They will have to have the apartment ready within 10 days and try and rent it before the 30 days is up.

The first anonymous on 12/14 must be dumb as bricks! You talk like you know what you're talking about but you don't have a clue! What mom and pop complex have you rented at where they just let you turn in your keys and walk away? It's not a hotel, it doesn't work that way. No decently managed company is going to let their residents leave as they please once their lease is up - with no notice! Come on! Do you know how much money they would loose off that policy? They would have apartments vacant for months at a time and when you came to rent and asked what was available for 2 months from now and they would say "I don't know, we have to see when our residents turn in their keys". Come on! You are an idiot!!
