Just days after moving here, we knew we were in trouble. No surprise that the office staff would be sweet as molasses when trying to sell you on moving in, then be less charming once they have your signature on the lease. But common business sense and a shred of human decency tells you you don't start treating paying tenants like the "enemy". Repeated requests to fix things go unheeded. First they try to talk you out of wanting it (uh, we do need hot water), then they turn contemptful and tell you someone will come look at it, then they don't show up. When you finally annoy them enough to bother coming over, they tell you that's the way it's supposed to (not) work, or they put a rubber band on it and it's broken again in hours. Maintenance, office staff... a bunch of morons. They want to stay in their office and not deal with the inferior slugs who shell out big dollars to live in this dump.

Evidently residents are encouraged to throw trash all around, and maintenance doesn't think it's a problem, because there's broken glass, fast food half eaten, and blowing paper all over the place 24/7.

Be careful which unit you rent if you are stupid enough to move in here. Neighbors are incredibly immature and inconsiderate. A little noise is expected -- after all, it's an apartment building -- but peace is 100% nonexistent.

No matter how sweet and deferential you are when asking the staff for any help at all, or no matter how forceful and belligerent you are, you are the enemy, and they want to be right and tell you you're wrong, and make damn sure they don't help you to reinforce it.

What a hell hole. Lease is up this spring, and we're out of here.
