Well, I think the ant problem comes and goes. Definitely take out the trash regularly and do the dishes regularly. They were TERRIBLE when we first moved in. They have a tendacy to come through the vents too. So, far I haven't seen any in awhile. You have to sign up to have your place sprayed. I would recommend keep a couple of bottles of the Non-Toxic Raid Ant spray around.

I just moved in in June and the ant problem was really bad during the summer. They were never in the trash or food, though...they were looking for water. Don't bother with the exterminator through the St. Moritz. Their spray is watered down. I've used a product called Orange Guard and it's worked OK for me. I haven't had any problems since it's cooled down, so next summer will be the real test.
