....But my experience @ Don Miguel has been pretty good. I moved in 12/2003 and am still a resident. I think the location, price, and size is excellent. I looked at probably 30 apartment complexes before I chose this one again (I lived here back in '99). I am pretty picky and will not live in areas that I conside unsafe. Like I said, nowhere is perfect, but I looked at places that I wouldn't walk around in the daylight for fare less sq.footage and more expensive. Under a $G for over 800sq ft. in North Alta Loma.. IM SOLD. I am sorry to hear about peoples vehicles being broken into, but unfortunately we take that risk everywhere we live. My parents live in a million dollar home and their car got broken into. Kinda hard to stop everyone from everything. As far as management is concerned, I have had no problems. All of my work orders have been completed in a timely manner and I get along very well with the apartment Manager. She has always helped me to the best of her abilities, and any requests I may have are handled quickly. I read a few of the comments that people posted about her being rude and so on... You know, there is only one of her and hundreds of us. I am a sales manager, and if a customer refuses to be proper about the situation and make a scene, then I get pretty "rude" too. We're humans too, not slave dogs. They need to think about how tey treated her and the way they approached her. Following the rules are a big part of it. I can guarantee a few of the bad messages on this post were from "problem residents" GUARANTEED. If something good happens to a person, they tell one person. If something bad happens to someone then they go out of their way to stretch the TRUTH as much as possible to ruin them. I see it all the time in my line of work. Not always, but the exception proves the rule. I must admit, the parking scenario is kinda strange, but it's not enough for me to up and relocate. Anyways, I read a lot of manager bashing and I thought I would take a moment to give her a few props.. Noone ever decided to write something good about her, so I will. The late paying, noise making, sub-par residents that were bashing on this page need to step back and evaluate themselves... cuz you're far from perfect. We all are, and Don Miguel is doing their best to make it a safe and pleasant place to live. They recently repainted the outside and are trying to get the parking scenario in check. The biggest issue with the parking is THE RESIDENTS DONT LIKE TO PARK IN THEIR DESIGNATED AREAS, THEREFORE TAKING UP THE GUEST PARKING BECAUSE IT'S CLOSER TO THEIR APARTMENT. In conclusion, I'd recommend Don Miguel over many other places in a heartbeat. HAVE A GREAT DAY
